Not, switching between MrMC and other apps on the aTV feels a bit jarring.I have had my first nas couple of days ago, i have Asus Ax11000 router which supports gigabit connection and link aggregation, i have reserved plug 2 cat 6 RJ45 cable to from my router to nas. I like uniformity and would just love it if looked more like Infuse, for example. My only wish would be for a more aTV4 compatible interface. Everything is just as good as when it run on the win10 PC. The Samba / SMB protocol stopped working a couple of days after the upgrade.

On my installation (DS 218+, Mac OS 11+ Big Sur on my notebooks) the DSM 7.0 upgrade release turned out to be buggy.

Users dependent on SMB should not migrate to DSM 7.0 until a patch is delivered. I'm using a harmony smart remote to controll everything, including the aTV, and navigating using the arrow buttons is flawless and totally without delay. NUTSHELL: Synologies new Samba / SMB implementation in DSM 7.0 is buggy. Now, it seems like people are mostly complaining about the remote touchpad response. You find that under Control Panel > Applications > Terminal & SNMP > Terminal > Enable SSH service.

For me, everything is running smooth (I'm mainly streaming from a NAS using SMB), everything plays beautifully (including huge 1080p mkv-rips with dts), and I'm just so happy that I can now actually replace my old crappy, loud laptop with it's bulky IR dongle, with a tiny aTV. Unfortunately for us, Synology does not allow for the character to be a part of the username. I'm a long time user of Kodi, and the htpc it's running on (it's an old laptop) is slowly becoming unusable, so when I saw that a Kodi fork was released for the aTV4, I had to try it out.Īnd boy is this amazing.
